The folders will not be used for correspondence, such as birthday party invitations from individual parents. Please take time to review this information with your child.
Teachers will send home a Tuesday Folder. A phone bill is not considered proof of residence. If you change your residence, we will need for you to bring another proof of residence (gas bill, electric bill, water bill, or sales/lease agreement) to the office.
Any changes throughout the school year should be sent to the office.
In case of emergency, we must have current addresses, telephone numbers, and emergency contacts for all students during the year. Volunteers should make sure to sign in as a volunteer in the main office. Volunteers who have previously registered must reactivate their status if they plan to participate again this year. This application will allow you to serve in a volunteer capacity for the 2016-2017 school year. WCPSS Board Policy 5422 states that “all volunteer applicants will complete an on-line application at a school and must receive clearance from the Human Resources Department – Employee Relations before beginning work in a school as a volunteer”. Examples include, individual tutoring, working on special projects, working with small groups, helping in the media center, and at-home projects. Our PTA will also send home volunteer information. There are many opportunities to volunteer at Dillard Drive Elementary and each teacher will inform parents about classroom volunteer opportunities.
